William Noel Sneade was born at Maidenhead, Berkshire to Charles Samuel Sneade and Fanny Brown. In 1901, the family were living at Laggan House, North Town, Maidenhead and Charles was “living on his own means”.

He was educated at Eton and Christ Church, matriculating in 1913. He commenced Service on 28 January 1915, and served in France, dying of meningitis as a result of wounds.

At the time of his death, his father’s address was Eastfield, Whitchurch.
