Stipendiary Lecturership in Human Geography

The salary will be in the range of £16,905 - £18,669 (current rates) per annum, according to qualifications and experience

Part-time, fixed-term contract for two years from 01 October 2026 until 30 September 2028

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Stipendiary Lecturership in Human Geography commencing 01 October 2026. This is a part-time position for a two-year fixed term until 30 September 2028.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver 6 hours of high-quality undergraduate teaching per week, averaged over three eight-week terms per year.

Academic Skills Advisor in Humanities

£33.50 per hour (current rates)

Casual, working variable hours (maximum 16 hours per term, weeks 0-9)

Summary

Christ Church seeks to appoint an Academic Skills Advisor in Humanities to the College’s undergraduate and taught graduate student body, joining an Academic Skills Support team under the supervision of the Academic Skills Coordinator and the Academic Registrar. The postholder will provide up to 16 hours of academic skills sessions during term time to help Christ Church students to develop their academic skills.

Liddell Building Night Porter

£32,108 per annum

We are seeking a professional, confident and reliable Night Porter with excellent customer service and communication skills to join the team at Christ Church's Liddell Building.

Our Night Porters provide a professional and welcoming service to students, staff and visitors whilst overseeing the security and safety of the site during the night. The role involves monitoring College systems, responding appropriately to incidents, and helping to ensure a safe, secure and supportive environment for all members of the College community.

Part-time Liddell Building Night Porter

£19,264.80 

Permanent, part-time 
Friday and Saturday: 7pm-7am

Library Clerks

Fixed Term Contract - various shift patterns on offer

Summary

Christ Church is seeking to appoint a number of reliable and customer-focused Library Clerks to provide support during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when Library staff are not onsite. As the first point of contact for library users, successful candidates will deliver excellent customer service, assist with enquiries and the use of Oxford’s online library catalogue (SOLO), maintain a secure and welcoming study environment, and ensure library policies are followed.

Development Manager (Christ Church Cathedral School)

Christ Church invites applications for a Development Manager (Christ Church Cathedral School). This new role offers an exciting opportunity to lead fundraising and alumni engagement for Christ Church Cathedral School as part of the wider Christ Church Development team. Reporting to the Development Director, the postholder will work with the Development Director and Headmaster to develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising programme for the School while identifying opportunities for collaboration across the School, Cathedral and College.

Chair of the Cathedral Safeguarding Advisory Panel

£400 per day on a consultancy basis

5 days per year, for a term of 3 years initially

Summary

Christ Church Cathedral is seeking to appoint an independent Chair of the Cathedral Safeguarding Advisory Panel.

This post provides an independent perspective on Christ Church Cathedral’s safeguarding work, and so the postholder will be working for us on a consultancy basis.  The current rate of pay is £400 per day, 5 days per year, for a term of 3 years initially.

Associate Professorship (or Professorship) in Applied Mathematics with Official Studentship (Tutorial Fellowship)

Combined University and College salary from £57,986 to £77,366 per annum plus additional benefits and allowances including an Oxford Living Subsidy of £21,567 per annum. An allowance of £3,199 p.a. would be payable upon award of Full Professor title

Permanent upon completion of a successful review. The review is conducted during the first 5 years

Summary

The Mathematical Institute proposes to appoint an Associate Professor (or Professor) in Applied Mathematics from 1 October 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter and the successful candidate will be appointed as an Official Student at Christ Church (the equivalent of Tutorial Fellows in other colleges).
