Cardiology and research training at Harvard and Wuerzburg Universities. Clinical Reader at Oxford University 1999-2002, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine since 2002.

Research Interests

His research interests include cardiac and multiorgan Magnetic Resonance Imaging, cardiac metabolism, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, ischemic heart disease, heart valve disease, obesity, and most recently, cardiac Computed Tomography. President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance 2006-2008. Chairman of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance 2008-2010. Co-Editor Magnetic Resonance Materials. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
