Library Assistant (Graduate Trainee)

£27,534 per annum

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

One-year fixed term contract, starting July/August 2026

Summary

Christ Church seeks to appoint a Library Assistant (Graduate Trainee) on a one-year fixed term contract.

The role of the Library Assistant (Graduate Trainee) encompasses many facets of library work: front-line reader services; collection management and Special Collections. This fixed-term post is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly college and gain experience working in a large Oxford college library.

In addition to training received in post, the Library Assistant (Graduate Trainee) will also participate in visits and events run by the Bodleian Libraries as part of the Bodleian Libraries Graduate Trainee scheme, which provides the necessary experience for application to a postgraduate course in librarianship or information management.

A Regius Professor of Greek is due to be appointed at the University of Oxford by His Majesty the King with effect from 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Faculty welcomes applications from those with expertise in any area of Greek Language and Literature, but applicants should have broad interests and sympathies to be able to contribute to and promote what is a wide and increasingly interdisciplinary research field in Oxford.

Career Development Fellowship in Astrophysics

Grade 8: £49,119 – £58,265 (with a discretionary range up to £63,489) per annum (current rates), according to qualifications and experience. New appointments are usually made at the first point of the scale. An additional fixed-term Studentship allowance of £4,439 is also available.

Christ Church seeks to appoint a current graduate student at the University of Oxford to join the Welfare Team as a Warden. The newly appointed Warden will join a team of four, with each Warden supporting the Junior Censor, Welfare Manager, and the wider welfare Team in promoting the welfare of Christ Church students and maintaining a positive academic and social environment for all.
