Millard and Lee Alexander Post-doctoral Fellowship 2026/27
Applications are invited for the Millard and Lee Alexander Fellowship, in Mathematics or one of the Physical Sciences, for the academic year 2026-2027.
The fellowship is intended to give College affiliation to a post-doctoral research worker from outside Oxford; applicants must have carried out their doctoral research at a university other than Oxford and have no existing affiliation to an Oxford college.
The successful candidate will be a post-doctoral researcher visiting from overseas who is working in the research group of a member of staff in one of the laboratories or departments of the Oxford University Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Applicants must be working in Mathematics or one of the Physical Sciences with a tenure of at least 12 months from the date of taking up the fellowship (expected to be 1 October 2026).

Vacancy details
The fellowship is offered on a non-stipendiary basis: the Fellow is not an employee of Christ Church, and the Fellowship does not constitute an employment.
The initial period of the Fellowship is for one year, but it may be renewed for up to one further year while the departmental appointment continues.
