Non-stipendiary Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

Christ Church invites applications for a limited number of Non-stipendiary Postdoctoral Research Fellowships from exceptional early career academics holding fully-funded Postdoctoral Fellowships in the University of Oxford who do not have an association with a college.  

These Fellowships are intended to provide an opportunity for academics to benefit from an association with Christ Church, and holders of the Fellowships will have the opportunity to engage fully in the academic and social life of Christ Church.  

These Fellowships are non-stipendiary as they represent an association with Christ Church, not employment. Holders of the Fellowships will be a member of the Christ Church Senior Common Room and will enjoy full Common Room dining rights. In some cases, a study room in college may also be offered. Holders of these Fellowships will be eligible to apply to the Christ Church Research Centre for small grants. The Fellowships will usually be for the duration of the Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Oxford, not exceeding five years. 

The successful candidates will have, or be close to completing, a PhD/DPhil in a related discipline, and will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop, manage and successfully complete research projects.
