Graduate students at Christ Church can either rent in Oxford privately or stay in our student accommodation. Details of college accommodation options are set out below.
St Aldate’s accommodation consists of single study/bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens (approximately 3–4 students sharing facilities).
The standard daily charge for accommodation rent (Board and Lodging Charge) is £34.02 per night, which includes utility charges.
The rooms are cleaned by college staff.
Liddell Accommodation consists of single study/bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. There are usually four students sharing a bathroom and kitchen.
There are shops, a supermarket and banks in the area. The city centre and College is a ten-minute walk from Liddell. The University sports ground and gym are a ten-minute walk from Liddell.
The standard daily charge for accommodation rent (Board and Lodging Charge) is £34.02 per night, which includes utility charges.
The rooms are cleaned by college staff.
The college also has a number of properties near to the railway station in Oxford, which are managed by the Treasury. These properties are a 15-minute walk from college and a five-minute walk from the Saïd Business School. The following types of properties are available:
- one-bedroom flats for couples comprising lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom/WC and utility area;
- two-bedroom flats and houses for couples/families or two people sharing comprising lounge, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom/WC, although the two-bedroom properties in Abbey and Cripley Roads are slightly larger than those in Botley Road and have an additional dining room/study;
- three-bedroom flats or houses in Cripley Road for three people sharing, comprising three bedrooms, shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

All of the properties in the Botley Road area are fully furnished. The tenancy is a fixed term of 11 months from 1 September to 31 July inclusive. Rent excludes gas and electricity, which are the responsibility of the tenant(s). Eduroam Wi-Fi is provided. Council tax is payable if your spouse or partner is earning a wage. Christ Church is responsible for payment of water rates.
Rents for these properties for 2025/26 are as follows:
- 1-bedroom flat (couples only) in Abbey and Cripley Roads. Current rent is £1,029 per calendar month, plus utility bills.
- 2-bedroom flat or house (two single people sharing, a couple, or a family). There is limited availability of two-bedroom flats and houses. Flats are located on Abbey/Botley/Cripley Roads, and the houses are in Cripley Road. Current rent is £661 per person per calendar month (for those sharing) or £1,263 per calendar month for a couple or family, plus utility bills.
The accommodation is not serviced by scouts and tenants are responsible for keeping the properties clean.
There is a waiting list for these properties and we are unable to guarantee that we could offer a room or flat to a graduate fresher as they are subject to availability.
Please note that we do not have en-suite graduate accommodation and room allocations are only made upon receipt of a completed financial declaration form with evidence of funding.
Collegiate Accommodation Support Service (CASS)
