Bed and Breakfast at Christ Church

Christ Church is centrally located in the beautiful City of Oxford, close to all amenities, as well as to excellent transport links. Guests stay in comfortable bedrooms in buildings of architectural or historical interest. A full English Breakfast is provided each morning, in the unique setting of the Great Hall, between 07.30am - 9.00am Monday - Saturday and 08.00am - 09.30am on Sundays. Dinner can be booked on some evenings, subject to availability - usually during late August only, if possible tickets will be shown at the time of booking the bedroom. A Common Room is also available for guests, where you can read a book, watch the TV or relax.

Standard or Ensuite Single, Twin and Double bedrooms are available to book. Standard rooms have their own basin, with bathrooms located within the same staircase, but often up or down two or three flights of stairs. Ensuite bedrooms have their own basin, shower and lavatory.

All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and free WiFi. There are also free laundry facilities and an iron and ironing board in particular staircases.

Please note: All rooms include a hairdryer. The majority of rooms include a safe. There are no lifts in any of the buildings at Christ Church.

We are unable to offer accommodation to hen/stag groups, babies, children or young people under the age of 18 at Christ Church. [If such booking is made you will be asked to cancel your booking and an admin fee will apply]

Our B&B booking facility is managed by speedy booker, all amendments and cancellations must go through the website. For other queries please email conferenceoffice@chch.ox.ac.uk

117 St Aldates Building - Bedroom only and B&B

117 St Aldates is an annexe of Christ Church and is centrally located just across the street from the main site. Guests are accommodated in newly refurbished, comfortable bedrooms. Each room is ensuite with a standard double bed (for single or double occupancy), tea and coffee making facilities, a refrigerator and free WiFi.

The rooms are located over four floors and are all a similar size and layout; they can be accessed by a lift. A few rooms have street facing windows [please note there may be noise disturbance] but many of them have a restricted view over the backs of other buildings.

Guests are requested to report to the Porters' Lodge on arrival. The Lodge is situated just inside the main entrance to Christ Church on St Aldate's and is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Tom Gate closes after 7.30pm, so guests arriving after this time will need to ring the bell on the wall to the left of the gate and the duty porter will let you in.

We are unable to provide breakfast from the 1st July to mid-August (the date can vary). When checking availability the room type will state either B&B or Room only so you can easily identify what is on offer. After mid-August to the end of September, a full English or continental breakfast is served in the unique setting of the Great Hall in Christ Church.

Please note we are unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen parties. We do not accept bookings for anyone under 21 years of age and therefore our accommodation is not suitable for families. [If such booking is made you will be asked to cancel your booking and an admin fee will apply]

Liddell Building - Bedroom only with Self Catering Facilities

The Liddell Building was opened in 1991 and designed as a single quad as a joint development between Christ Church and Corpus Christi College. It offers single bedrooms in 3 or 4 bedroom flats in a peaceful central location, approximately five minutes walk from amenities and a fifteen minute walk from Christ Church (a shortcut is now available over the Bridge and across the Meadow to Christ Church).

Each flat has a shared bathroom, kitchen (with a small selection of crockery and cutlery) and dining area enabling visitors to cater for themselves during their stay. Additionally, tickets for Breakfast at Christ Church can be purchased from mid-August (the date can vary) to the end of September. A full English or continental breakfast is served in the unique setting of the Great Hall in Christ Church. In nice weather it is possible to have picnics on the grounds and use the on-site BBQ. A Common Room is available for guests, where you can read a book, watch the TV or relax. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. Guests are also welcome to use the on-site launderette which has ironing facilities.

A supermarket is located 200m at Magdalen Bridge and numerous restaurants can be found along nearby Cowley Road. Punts, pedaloes and row boats are available to hire from Magdalen Bridge. Liddell is also next door to the University Sports Complex and a Gym Day Pass can be purchased.

Please note we are unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen parties. We do not accept bookings for anyone under 21 years of age and therefore our accommodation is not suitable for families. [If such booking is made you will be asked to cancel your booking and an admin fee will apply]
