Permanent Residents of Oxford (OX1–OX4)

We will shortly be launching a card for local residents and are in the process of finalising the details and application process. Updates will be published here. In the meantime, please contact us on tourism@chch.ox.ac.uk if you would like to arrange a visit. Please note that free entry is for permanent residents of OX1-4 only, and all visits must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. If you would like to be notified when we release our card, please contact us via email.

When visiting, residents will be required to bring a digital or physical copy of their council tax bill as proof of residence, as well as a form of photo ID (either a passport or driving licence). A photocard driving licence can be used as both proof of address and ID.

Parishioner Pass

Members of the Church of England who live in the Diocese of Oxford (Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes) are welcome to come to their Cathedral to pray whenever they wish. Parishioners may apply for a free Parishioner Pass that allows them to enter via Tom Gate.

The Parishioner Pass lets you enter the Cathedral to pray and look around the building. If you would like to visit the College or the Great Hall you will need to buy a ticket. Adults need a pass each. Under-18s will be admitted if they are accompanying a pass holder.

To apply for the pass please visit  Parishioner Pass.

Of course, everyone is welcome to come to the Cathedral for worship and details of our Cathedral services can be found by clicking here.
