College Advent Carol Service
Come together with the college community to celebrate the season of Advent and mark the end of term in this candlelit service.
The College Advent Carol service - at 5.30pm on Sunday of 8th Week (1st December)- is one of the highlights of the year at Christ Church. We mark the beginning of the Advent season with readings from members of the House community and music from our brilliant Cathedral Choristers (boys), Frideswide Voices (girls) and Lay and Academical Clerks.
This is a very popular service and therefore free tickets must be booked. You are welcome to book tickets for yourself and up to five guests. You must bring a copy of these tickets on the night to gain access to the Cathedral. If you find you no longer need any of your tickets, please inform the college chaplain as soon as possible so that they can be released to those on the waiting list.
Booking link to come later in Michaelmas Term.
Please note that this is a college service, and priority for spaces will go to the students, staff and alumni of the House. If you are a member of the public, we would love to welcome you to our Advent Carol service the evening before on Saturday 29th November, or to our Choral Matins and Choral Eucharist on the morning of the 30th at 9.35am and 11.05am, which are fully open to the public. You can also take part in the College Advent Carol service online through the free public livestream on our YouTube channel.
