Academic background

I hold a BA in Philosophy from the University of Bristol, an MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society from the University of Cambridge, and a DPhil in Population Health from the University of Oxford. My DPhil research was in the field of the commercial determinants of health, investigating the concept of 'Drink Responsibly' within public health policy, with a specific focus on the narrative's use by the alcohol industry. I also work as a consultant for the World Health Organization within the field of arts and health. 

Research interests

My research focuses on the alcohol and gambling industries' use big data to influence consumer's behaviour, in order to inform public health policy to best tackle alcohol and gambling-related harms.
