Qualifications

PhD in Philosophy, University of Oslo.
MA in Philosophy (International Curriculum), University of Turin.
BA in Philosophy, University of Turin.

Academic background

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Turin (UniTo) supervised by Michele Lubrano and Vincenzo Crupi (BA, 2019) and Matteo Plebani (MA, 2022).

I completed my PhD (2026) at the University of Oslo (UiO), supervised by Øystein Linnebo and evaluated by the following committee: Tim Button (UCL, first opponent), Gabriel Uzquiano (USC, second opponent), Karen Crowther (UiO, committee administrator). My fellowship at UiO was funded by the ERC Advanced Project C:FORS: Construction in the Formal Sciences and dealt with Work Package 1 (constructional approaches to the foundations of mathematics).

Between the submission of my dissertation (February 2026) and the start of my post as CDF in Philosophy at Christ Church (October 2026) I qualified for the the completion grant as a doctoral fellow at UiO.

I held visiting positions at the following institutions: University of Southern California (USC), Short Term Scholar, supervised by Gabriel Uzquiano; National University of Singapore (NUS), Visiting Researcher, sponsored by Isaac Wilhelm and Neil Barton; University College London (UCL), Visiting Researcher, supervised by Tim Button.

Undergraduate teaching

I teach the following tutorials at Christ Church: Introduction to Logic, General Philosophy, Philosophical Topics in Logic and Probability, Frege’s Foundations of Arithmetic, Turing on Computability and Intelligence, Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophical Logic, Knowledge and Reality.

Research interests

My main research interests are in the Philosophy of Mathematics and Logic, with a special focus on (the Philosophy of) Set Theory and Foundations of Mathematics. In my PhD dissertation I ran an extensive analysis of the Iterative Conception of Set, both from a historical standpoint and from a theoretical perspective, developing new approaches to the subject grounded on the logic of plurals and aimed at assessing the debate between actualism and potentialism.

I am also keen on Decision Theory, Theories of Bounded Rationality and Philosophy of Literature.
