The Pigments of Wolsey’s Manuscripts

Professor Andy Beeby (Durham University) and Professor Richard Gameson (Durham University) will talk about the scientific identification of the pigments used in a pair of beautiful illuminated manuscripts produced for Cardinal Wolsey: a gospel-lectionary held by Magdalen College Oxford and an epistle-lectionary held by Christ Church.

Both manuscripts be on display together for this very special event. Free but booking is essential.
