Volunteering

The Cathedral wouldn't be able to function without the help of the 500 or so volunteers who share in different aspects of our life.

Some volunteers give many hours, others just a few. Some are on a weekly rota helping each week, while others come in just a few times a year. They come from many different parishes and often help in the Cathedral during the week while continuing to worship in their parish church on Sundays. Every year we hold a special Garden Party to celebrate and thank our army of helpers.

Volunteers fulfil many different roles. If you are particularly interested in becoming an education volunteer, working with school groups, you can find out more here

It is our usual practice to take up references in support of a volunteer’s offer to help.
